Projects Completed
a) Shell Ultra City – Petrol Station N1 Worcester (Client: Feptiq Pty Ltd)
Activity 21 (c&i):
A Pipeline currently crossing the Bothaspruit will be replaced with a low lying hang bridge construction which will carry the water pipeline. Walker Water Solutions was appointed to apply for WUA to the Breede Gourits Catchment Management Agency (BGCMA) and to coordinate the process until authorisation.
b) Somer Forest Residential Estate (Client: Kiam Properties Pty. Ltd)
Activity 21(c&i):
A river crossing plus a new pipeline to be constructed through the river valley bottom which will impact on the flow and characteristics of the river running through the property. It was determined after consultation with the regulated authority that both of these activities require a water use license.
c) Fransberg Dam, Hexrivier: (Client S. Jordaan)
Activity 21(b, c&i):
The enlargement of an existing storage dam to accept winter water during the season. This application also triggered a 21c&i as the inflow to the dam was crossing a natural drainage channel adjacent to the foot of the mountain.
d) Lavender Crossing Petrol Station / Philadelphia Petroland (Client: Petroland Development)
Activity 21(e/g):
Irrigation of the landscaped garden with treated water from the sewage treatment plant (ablutions). A detention pond was also constructed to assist with the stormwater management of the services on the layout plan.
e) Oakhill School Complex (Client: Oakhill School, Knysna)
Activity 21 (a,b,e,g):
An integrated Water Use License (IWULA) application for all the activities mentioned above; taking; storing, irrigation and discharge of water into a nearby water course, Knysna rivier.
