Our Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordination and compilation of Water Use License- and General Authorisation Application Reports.

• Compile Section 27 Motivation Reports.

• Complete Water Use Licence Application Forms (DW Forms).

• Negotiate with officials from the Department of Water Affairs.

• Liaison with Town Planners, Environmental Consultants, and Civil Engineers, Waste Water Treatment Specialists, Wetland Specialists and Geohydrologists.

• Compilation of various types of maps using GIS software.

• Conduct Public Participation as prescribed in the National Water Act.

• Incorporate EIA and Basic Assessment Reports into Water Use License Applications.
